My story as a Film Editor started in 2008 with Giuseppe Bertolucci's 'Officinema' course on Film Editing at the Cineteca di Bologna.
Since then I have gained a wide range of editing experience including; short-films, animated television series, feature documentaries and feature films, collaborating with industry professionals such as Matt Hill, Petra Korner, Martyn Pick, Maria Martinelli, Amit Gupta, Catherine Yass, Bill Thomas, Lorenzo Renzi, Franz Pagot, Emma Miranda Moore, Ed Bignell and many others.
The latest film I've cut, “Redenzione (eng. Redemption)”, an Italian feature drama directed by Maria Martinelli for Kamera Film, is in the official selection at the 40th edition of Turin Film Festival and will have its world premiere there.
I also recently edited “Tish Tash Sing-a-long”, an animated TV show produced by Karrot for CBeebies.
My most recent work includes the documentary 'Titian - Behind Closed Doors', directed by Matthew Hill for BBC2 and the feature film ‘Trouble will find us’, directed by Alex Milo Bischof, which won Best UK Feature at Manchester Film Festival ’21 and was selected and premiered at Busan International Film Festival ‘20.
‘Run’, a short film I cut in 2020, directed by Emma Miranda Moore, got selected for LSFF, FlickerFest (Academy qualifying) and Manchester Film Festival, amongst many others. An Italian short film I worked on, ‘La musica nell'anima’, was longlisted for a David di Donatello (Italian version of BAFTAs). One of the short films I cut, ‘Lit’ won the Main Award at Depict! at Encounters Film Festival 2019.
I was nominated in the Best Editor category at Underwire Festival 2018 for my work on ‘SWARM’. Directed by Emma Miranda Moore, the short was also an official selection at the BAFTA recognised Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) and has screened globally in multiple festivals.
In 2020 I was appointed Governor of the Board of BFE (British Film Editors), and have since then been organising a series of online events 'A Virtual Glass of Wine with...', with guests such as Una Ni Dhonghaile, John Grover, Celia Haining, Tony Kearns, Colin Goudie, Axel Geddes, Skip MacDonald, Yorgos Mavropsaridis, John Venzon, Chris Wyatt, Joel Cox...
